Good bye Miss Wright....it was a great ride I'm sure...hundreds....probably thousands of us learned to drive under your teaching....I remember her also from the bowling alley....she and my mom and PeeWee's mom and Miss Hoffabur and a couple of other ladies were on a team together...I have my mom's pictures with all these ladies in them....we all thank you and your presence here on earth will be missed...

So sad to hear that Miss Wright has left us. I was fortunate enough to see her at a class reunion about 8 years ago. We all had so many memories of Miss Wright in the passenger seat with a brake to stop us when we were just looking forward to a little drag racing. She was a unique individual in Guymon history and will be missed.

Ms. Wright was my driving instructor when I went to Guymon High almost 46 years ago.. I have thought of her often, because of the good driving skills she taught me. I ran into her about 8-10 years ago in Oklahoma City and meant to get back in touch with her. So sorry I didn't. Prayers of comfort for the family and friends..

My condolences to the Wright family. Although it has been many years since I last saw Margaret, I remember her as a sweet lady at our annual family picnics at Sunset Lake Park in Guymon.

I knew this lady from my ealiest memory. She was a dear friend to my family. She had visited my family in our home many times and I remember my Dad preparing her income taxes every year. I remember the time he first introduced her to me, describing her as one of the nicest, intelligent and one of the greatest persons he knew. I will always cherish my personal association with her as one of the great persons I was lucky enough to know. What a lady! My thoughts are with her family and friends who I know will miss her so much.

So sorry for this loss. You taught me drivers Ed in 1954 and have been a friend of our family for many years. You and mom (Mary Smith) were friends and had lots of golf time together. We last visited in OKLA City with Paul Matthews, a few years ago and I have wonderful pictures of that visit. Thanks for your friendship. You and Mom have a great visit in heaven....

I did not know Margaret very well but my husbands family did. Eric's Aunt Helen and Margaret were best friends and lived together and to this day Eric still called her Aunt Margaret. He remembers everything he ever did with her, I think she must have tried to teach him how to golf because Margaret and Aunt Helen lived in a house on Canyon that there was nothing between their house and the golf course and she would hit golf balls from their backyard all the way to the golf course on Sunset. He laughs and says well she use to get them in the golf course and his fell short. I met her soon after Eric and I married and she treated me like part of her family. She has a beautiful soul and personality, she will missed. Go rest high on that mountain Ms. Margaret!

Margaret was a very special family friend. We spent many late nights at the bowling alley! Beyond driver's education, she took great pride in being a class sponsor and was very devoted. Thank you Jo and LaNetta Rae for bringing her to AZ! I had a great time visiting and going to the horse races! Some people think it is strange to call a past teacher your friend but she was a very special friend to me. I didn't call her as much as I should have but I totally enjoyed our time together. I wish I could attend the services but know that I will be there spiritually and emotionally. Love you, Vonda Jack

My thought and prayers are with her dear friend Jo and her family. I will truly miss her here at Autumn Leaves her great sense of humor and love of being in the company of others brought great joy to myself and others here. She touched my life, she was a kind and loving person and cared deeply for others especially children. I truly enjoyed listening to the stories of her life and know that the world is a better place for having her in it. Rest in peace dear lady you will be missed. With fond remories Mary

Miss Wright was one of my favorite teachers. I was speaking about some of my experiences with her just a few weeks ago to some young people that were talking about their driver's ed class. I was priviledged to go to State with the 2 drivers who were older than me that won at state after we all three had qualified at the lower level and she encouraged me about the future chance I would have to compete again, but then she left us and the next teacher didn't participate in the Driver's Road-eo. I was sooo dissappointed but have always remembered her fondly.

In loving memory Ms. Wright. My sympathy and condolence to the family. The Holy Bible draws aside the black curtain that drapes the tomb and bids faith and hope to comfort our hearts. It points beyond the silent portals of the tomb and bids our eyes with faith and confidence on the opening scenes of the grand eternity!!!!! God's loving blessing. John G. Strother GHS Class of 1968

Oh how I wish I could be there Friday to share memories of this special woman. She had such a positive impact on my life. I admired many things about Miss Wright, whe she didn't have me shaking in my go-go boots. I took the driver's test in my parents boat, 1967 Pontiac station wagon and parallel parked it perfectly thanks to her. At a time when strong women of character were often looked upon with suspicion, Ms. Wright was my model for bravery and the courage to be yourself. RIP.

I knew you only through you coming to the Class of 1967 reunions. I heard you were a great teacher. We loved you coming. You talked to everyone. Classmates loved you when they had you in school and when they reconnected later. We were all lucky to know you. Our prayers go out to her family. I know Margaret will be missed. Ms. Wright had the patience of a saint teaching all of us to drive! Long after Drivers Ed, we moved to Minnesota. I had the kids in the car and was driving on an icy road my car went into a spin on black ice. A quiet voice of Margaret Wright echoed in my head saying turn the steering wheel in to the skid! I recovered out of the skid and thought to myself you saved us Ms. Wright. Rest in peace great lady.

Margaret Wright was a fabulous lady and my favorite high school teacher. She taught the best drivers education class any high school student could possibly ask for and taught me the fine details of parallel parking which I only mastered through her teaching. Her personality was fantastic... She had must of us scared to death in Drivers Ed until we really got to know her personality. We loved it when she would go have coffee with her friends and leave us sitting in the car telling jokes.... When she came back to the car, we all shut up and acted very serious and started driving again. I have thought about her very fondly, many times over the years, and am very sorry she is gone. She taught many kids from Guymon High how to drive... Fantastic lady... She will really be missed by all of us!
