About Us

Henson Funeral Home was started in 1952 when Marlin Henson moved to Guymon, Oklahoma from Kansas and purchased McElroy Funeral Home with help from the community. The funeral home soon became a partnership when Marlin and Loyd "Pete" Peterson combined their talents to serve the community of Guymon and The surrounding areas together. The partnership was a good one.

In 1990 Marlin and Loyd sold Henson Funeral Home to Hunter and Bonnie Novak. In 1994 Hunter changed the name to Henson-Novak. Hunter and Bonnie continued the professional service that Marlin and Loyd had started.

In June of 2014 Hunter and Bonnie sold Henson-Novak to Kelly Miller who had apprenticed under Hunter in 1992.

I look forward to serving the people of the area as my predecessors did. You can entrust the care and services of your loved ones to myself and the rest of the staff at Henson Novak.
