Janet Hickman, 64, passed on January 21, 2017, at home in Alamagordo, New Mexico, of cancer. Janet is survived by her daughter, Kaeli (Hickman) Romero, and four grandchildren, two boys , and two girls . She is predeceased by her parents, Roy O'Neal and Virginia Lou (Berry) Hickman of Texhoma, Texas.
Janet graduated from Texhoma High School in Texhoma, Oklahoma in 1970, and attended Panhandle A&M College in Goodwell, Oklahoma. After leaving Panhandle she lived and worked in Amarillo, Texas, before moving to New Mexico.
Janet's passing is sad; I have never seen anyone put up such a fight against cancer. She was smart and funny and tough.
