David was one of my professors some years back so I am saddened by his passing. He was a funny guy and I enjoyed visiting with him. My sympathies go out to his family.

I knew David from Boy Scouts and I enjoyed working with him the few times we spent together. I learned a lot from him in March, 2016, as he ran an orienteering course for the Scouts at Lake Etling. What a great guy. He knew his stuff.

David was a wonderful colleague and dedicated instructor. I have had the privilege of working with him in numerous capacities during my tenure at OPSU. It still hasn't sunk in that my co worker, backyard neighbor and friend for 22 years is gone. I am praying for family and friends that meant so much to David.
