Volley Pearson 82-year-old resident of Boise City, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at The KPC Promise Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.
Volley Derril Pearson was born July 11, 1941 in Perris, California to Wilburn “W.C.” and Lorene (Burleson) Pearson.
On May 10, 1974 Volley and Dana(Pittman) were united in marriage in Bedford, Texas.
Volley worked as a diesel mechanic for Ryder truck company.
Volley enjoyed wood working, carving things from wood, gardening, spending time with family and loving on his dogs Cinnamon and Bitsy and his cats Sylvester and Baby Girl.
He was a Master Mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: David Pearson and one sister: Loretta Temple.
Volley is survived by his wife Dana of the home, one son: Stephen Vaughan and wife Dara of Boise City, two daughters: Lawana Guy and husband Robert and Tammy Blackstone and husband Joe, three sisters: Margaret Zollinger of Ft. Worth, Texas, Billie Pittman of Alvord, Texas and Eva Pittman and husband Anthony of Springtown, Texas, six grandchildren: including Keagen Vaughan and Sawyer Vaughan and eight great-grandchildren. Volley is also survived by several other family members and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 27, 2023 at the Boise City Cemetery with Jess Lee officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Boise City Cemetery Project Fund or the American Heart Association and will be accepted by the funeral home.
