Tommie Gay Henneberry

Tommie Henneberry, 70-year-old Elkhart, Kansas resident passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021, in Elkhart.

Tommie Gay O’Halloran was born December 1, 1950, in Syracuse, Kansas to Dugan O’Halloran and Ann Marie (Stebens) O’Halloran. She attended the Syracuse Public Schools. She worked for many years as a cook and waitress.

Tommie had many hobbies, but her family is what gave her the most joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one great grandson Skylar Mendoza. She was also preceded by her longtime Companion Herman Stroud

Left behind to cherish her memory is one daughter; Barbara Mendoza and husband Blas of Elkhart, Kansas; one sister, Barbara Stinemetz and husband Clayton of Great Bend, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Luis Mendoza, Cheyanne Mendoza, Maritza Mendoza, Tomas Mendoza, Gabriel Stroud, Gage Stroud and Greddy Stroud and eleven great-grandchildren.

Tommie is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 19, 2021, at Church at Jakes Barn with Jess Lee officiating.

Private family inurnment will take place later.

Memorial contributions may be made to charity of choice in Tommie’s name.
