Stephen Froese

Stephen Andre “Steve” Froese 65 year old Guymon, Oklahoma resident passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon.

Steve was born January 14, 1956 in Enid, Oklahoma to Donald Ray and Donna Ruth (Hughes) Froese.  He attended Enid public schools graduating with the class of 1976. 

Steve came to Guymon in 1997 and was a master carpenter and built homes all over the panhandle area.

On May 24, 1997 Steve was united in marriage to Caralea Froese. They were married for almost 23 years till her passing in 2020.

Steve had many hobbies that included carpentry, fishing, gardening, landscaping and spending time with family. He treasured the family time especially his time with his grandchildren.  Steve was an avid Oklahoma Sooners fan and tried to watch every game he had time for.

Steve is preceded in death by his Mother and his beloved wife Caralea in May of 2020.

Survivors include two daughters, Skye Jacobs Bowser and husband Johnathon of Guymon,Shannon Lee and husband Kendahl of Odessa and one son Shawn Jacobs of Guymon. Steve is also survived by his father Don Froese of Enid along with one sister Debbie Semrad and husband Larry of Enid. Survivors also include two granddaughters who were the light of his life, Payton and Emerson Lee.

Services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at The Victory Center with Pastor Charles Mendenhall officiating.
