Shirley Barnum, 64-year-old Keyes, Oklahoma resident passed away, Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Cimarron Memorial Hospital in Boise City, Oklahoma.
Shirley Ann Mathews was born July 20, 1957, in Cortez, Colorado to Robert Lee and Dorothy Alice (Minemyer) Mathews. She attended the Keyes school system graduating with the class of 1975.
On September 30, 1978, Shirley was united in marriage to Toby Barnum in Keyes, Oklahoma. Shirley worked as a home health care worker and a homemaker during her working career. She enjoyed bird watching, her dogs, working in her garden and planting flowers. What brought her the most joy was spending time with her family.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, one brother: Robert “Buddy” Mathews and one sister Barbara.
Left behind to treasure her memory are her husband Toby of the home, one daughter: Dorothy Barnum and partner J.T. Kozlowski of Junction City, Kansas, one son: William “Billy” Barnum and wife Shery of Granite, Oklahoma, three sisters: Connie Japhet of Colbert, Oklahoma, Beverly Edler and husband Cecil of Elk City, Oklahoma and Pat Whitfield of Boise City, Oklahoma, six grandchildren: Mason, Blake, Kacie, Liberty, Konner and Heath. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m. March 12, 2022, at Henson-Novak Funeral Home of Boise City with Matt Montoya officiating.
