Roger Pritchard, 76-year-old lifelong Oklahoma panhandle resident passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.
Roger Lee Pritchard was born April 24,1945, in Elk City, Oklahoma to Herschel and Ruby (McCray) Pritchard. Roger attended Guymon school systems graduating with the class of 1967. He attended Oklahoma Panhandle State University after high school.
On September 23, 1968, Roger was united in marriage to Betsy Glendinning in Guymon, Oklahoma. This union blessed them with two children: Robbie and Lexi.
Roger worked in banking industry as Vice president, retiring in 2011 from First National Bank in Hooker with almost 30 years of service.
Roger was a member of the Elks club and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. Roger was a member of the Hooker Chamber of Commerce for many years and was on the board of the Hooker Golf Club. He was an avid golfer and fisher. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great- granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Pat Pritchard, one sister: Julith Pritchard, one stepsister: Barbara Castleberry, one stepbrother: Doug Castleberry, stepfather: Bob Goldsbury.
He is survived by his wife Betsy of Hugoton, Kansas, one daughter: Lexi Rose and husband Justin of Hooker, Oklahoma, one son: Robbie Pritchard and wife Kenda of LaVita, Colorado, two brothers: Doug Pritchard and wife Barbara of Hooker, Oklahoma and Mike Pritchard of Guymon, Oklahoma. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Keenan Cooper of Lubbock, Texas, Loryn and Jenna Rose of Hooker, Oklahoma, Macy Pritchard of LaVita, Colorado and Thaxton Boyd of Canyon, Texas and one great-granddaughter Adalynn of LaVita, Colorado. Roger also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Graveside funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon, Oklahoma with Reverend Jim Reeves officiating.
