Roger loved his Lord, making Christ the Lord of his life at the age of nine. He loved his church family. He looked forward to the annual Cowboy Camp meeting each year. Roger loved his family, farming fishing, and football. He especially enjoyed spending time with his siblings & his many nieces and nephews. Affectionately known as Uncle Roger, each one was excited to see which unique gift he brought for them at Christmas- well thought out…so kind & generous. And, as a true Ottinger, he enjoyed good food.
Roger moved to Boise City to help care for his mom. He began working for the county in Boise City. Roger enjoyed going to work every day & the friendships that grew from his work.
