Robert Wayne “Robin” Campbell Jr. was born August 23, 1944, in Newton, Iowa to Margaret (Carley) and Robert Wayne Campbell Sr. Robin passed away Saturday July 31, 2021, at his residence surrounded by loved ones after a lengthy illness.
Robin attended Gruver, Texas school systems graduating with the class of 1963. He attended Panhandle A&M in Goodwell for one year. Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
After his military commitment he worked for Highway Contractors from 1968 until his retirement in 2016.
He spent many hours taking care of his animals. He was a loving and caring person and put everyone’s needs before his own. He enjoyed spending time with his brother John, especially riding motorcycles together. He and John were best of friends.
Robin was preceded in death by his parents and his brother John B. Campbell.
He is survived by three sisters; Denise Gum and husband Ralph of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kimberly Rowbotham and husband Kevin of Piedmont, Oklahoma and Kelly Hansen and husband Milton of Guymon; one brother Scott Campbell of Guymon. He is also survived eight nieces and nephews: Corey and Chris Gum of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Matthew Campbell of Goodwell, Oklahoma, Ryan Campbell, Rachel, Justin Talcott of Edmond, Oklahoma, Clint Talcott of Foss, Oklahoma, Brea Worley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews and a host of co-workers.
Private family services will take place at a later date.
