Richard Brady, 80-year-old former resident of Guymon, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday March 16, 2024 at Christus-St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas
Richard Charles Brady was born September 28, 1943 in Granbury, Texas to Charles and Lottie(Thomas) Brady. He attended school in Oklahoma and Illinois graduating from Woodstock high school in 1961.
After graduation Richard worked offshore as a mechanic in the oil and gas industry.
On April 10, 1965 Richard was united in marriage to Connie Moore in Guymon, Oklahoma at the Victory Memorial Methodist Church.
He joined the United States Army and proudly served his country. His basic training was in Ft. Bliss, Texas, then he was stationed in Monmouth, New Jersey, then was deployed to Vietnam. He returned home from Vietnam and was stationed at Ft, Gordon, in Augusta, Georgia.
His entire military service was from 1968 through 1971 obtaining the rank of Spec. 3.
In 1987 Richard and Connie moved to Beaumont, Texas. He resided there until his passing.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, his maternal grandparents: Annie and Archie Thomas and one brother-in-law: Frank Kneeland, one nephew; Frankie Kneeland.; one great-nephew; Rick Kneeland.
He is survived by his wife Connie of the home, one brother Glenn Brady of Guymon, Oklahoma, one sister: Juanita Charlaine Kneeland of Guymon, Oklahoma. Richard also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be given in Richards name to loaves and fishes or the American Heart Association and will be accepted by the funeral home.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Henson~Novak Funeral Home in Guymon.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Victory Memorial Methodist Church with Pastor David Player presiding.
