Patricia "Pat" Chapman

Patricia “Pat” Chapman 82-year-old Guymon resident passed away Monday, December 27, 2021, at Memorial Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dumas, Texas.

Patricia Irene Hayes was born on June 18, 1939, in Goodland, Kansas to Everette and Elsie Hayes. Pat attended the Colby school system graduating with the class of 1957. She attended college at Ft. Hays State University after high school.

On June 19, 1961, Pat was united in marriage to Charles Chapman in Raton, New Mexico.

Pat was a member of the Victory Memorial United Methodist Church and was a member of  the Order of the Eastern Star and Methodist Women.

She was a homemaker and loved spending time at the ranch that she and Chuck built.

Preceding her in death are her parents and a daughter Carrie Lee Chapman on April 7, 1973.

Pat is survived by her husband Chuck of the home, two daughters: Carmen Willis and husband Mike of Magnolia, Texas and Kristy Lehr and husband Shawn of Stratford, Texas, one brother, Dennis Hayes, and wife Rosie. Survivors also include five grandchildren: Morghin Thrasher and husband Scout, Ryle White and wife Annie, Avery Davis, Ethan Davis and Rhidge Philippe, six great-grandchildren: Rhylie Guthrie, Rhaymie Guthrie, Stetson Thrasher, Rankyn White and baby girl White and baby boy Thrasher.

She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Henson-Novak Funeral Directors.

Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 31, 2021, at Elmhurst Cemetery.

Celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 31, 2021, at Victory Memorial United Methodist Church with David Player officiating.
