Orville D. Finnesy

Orville Finnesy, 77-year-old Goodwell, Oklahoma resident passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Orville Dee Finnesy was born December 13, 1943 in Hays Kansas to Orville Richard Finnesy and Mildred June (Carmichael) Finnesy.  He spent his early years growing up in Natoma, Kansas and attended the Natoma School District graduating with the class of 1962. Some of his fondest memories were spent on the family farm north of Natoma.

He was a self-employed construction worker and was a custodian at the local Vo-Tech during his working career.

Orville and Vinita Counts were married Benkelman, Nebraska on December 23, 1972.

Orville liked watching John Wayne movies and pro rodeos and was an avid Denver Bronco fan.  He did also rodeo in his younger days.

Orville lived in Kansas most of his life until moving to Goodwell, Oklahoma in 2015.

Orville was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Barbara Hammerschmidt and one grandson Matt Krayca.

He is survived by his loving wife of the home Vinita, two daughters Sondra Krayca and husband Dave of Goodland Kansas and Robbi Dee Smith and husband Kenneth of Goodwell., one son Scott Krueger and wife Debbie of Knoxville, Tennessee. Orville is also survived by seven grandchildren, Dustin Krayca, Dan Mills, Mike Mills and wife Christina, Trent Seirer, Ashley Pfannenstiel and husband T.J., Chance Smith, Cambree Smith, three great- Grandchildren Ben Mills, Helaina Krayca and Caden Pfannenstiel.  He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Goodwell with Zane Newton officiating.

Friends may give memorial contributions in Orville’s name to a charity of choice and may be accepted at the funeral home.
