Maria Villanueva

Maria Evelia Villanueva, 83-year-old resident of Liberal, Kansas passed away on Sunday, July 18th, 2021, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas, she was born February 2, 1938, in Los Tazumbos, in Jalisco, Mexico, the daughter of Jose Ochoa and Victoria Valencia of Los Tazumbos. Maria and Rafael were united in marriage in June of 1955.

Evelia is preceded in death by her husband Rafael Villanueva and one son: Jose-Juan Villanueva

She is survived by three Sons Rafael Villanueva of Liberal, KS Carlos Torres of Liberal, KS Visente Torres of Liberal, KS 5 Daughters Jovita Torres of Liberal, KS Veronica Torres of Liberal, KS Maria Torres of Liberal, KS Rosalva Perez of Liberal, KS and Lucia Villanueva of Liberal, KS.

Evelia is also survived by her 21 Grandchildren Ivan, Miguel, Eduardo, Cecilia, Roberto, Jeanette, Ilene, Angel, Jezebel, Kassandra, Brianna, Jordy, Alexis, Juan-Carlos, Christian, Evelin, Jose-Juan Angelica, Adix, Tharn, Valente, Jessica, Benjamin, and Yareli

And her 15 great – grandchildren: Trayson, Taylee, Mariah, Anthony, Adam, Jaylen, Emiliano, Azeneth, Ximena, Xiomara, Mila, Aaron, Nadia, Catalina, and Jazline.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021, from 8:00 A.M till 5:00 P.M at Hornung Funeral home in Liberal, KS

Rosary will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at 7:00 P.M at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Father Juan Salas presiding.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday July 23, 2021, at 10:00 A.M at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Father Juan Salas presiding

Interment will follow after service in Liberal City, Cemetery in Liberal, KS
