Maria Avalos Rios

Maria Del Socorro Avalos Rios, 76 year old former Guymon resident passed away in Juarez, Chihuahua on Friday, February 5th, 2021. 

Maria was born on March 27th, 1944 in Robles, Durango, Mexico to Jose Avalos and Maria Rios.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Avalos and Maria Rios, her husband; Pedro Carrizales, her three brothers; Lorenzo Avalos, Vicente Avalos and Jose De La Luz Avalos and by her two sisters; Isaara Avalos and Anita Avalos.

Maria is survived by her daughter Christina Salcedo and her husband Jaime of Sweetwater, Texas and by her three sons; Leonardo Avalos and his wife Laura of Guymon, Oklahoma, Victor Avalos and his wife Letty of Odessa, Texas and Carlos Avalos and his wife Maria of Guymon, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Joanthon Avalos, Karla Avalos-Guzman, Edgar Avalos, Miguel Avalos, Erika Salcedo, Annabell Sigala, John Avalos and Allen Avalos. Siblings:Rosario Avalos and Jose Avalos, Along with nine great-grandchildren; Joel Acosta, Gael Acosta, Ivan Sigala, Kimberly Sigala, Kaden Sigala, Carmen Alexis Leanos, Adriana Destiny Leanos, Juan Martin Leanos Jr. and Jaime Camilo Salcedo.

Visitation will be held 1:00pm to 5:00pm on Friday, February 19th, 2021 at Henson-Novak Funeral Home in Guymon.

Rosary service will be held 8:00pm on Friday, February 19th, 2021 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Guymon.

Funeral service will be held 10:00am on Saturday, February 20th, 2021 and St. Peters Catholic Church in Guymon.
