Losey Woodson Obituary


Ray Woodson 80 year old Mangum, Oklahoma passed away Monday, March 8, 2021 at his residence in Mangum, Oklahoma surrounded by his loving family.


Losey Ray Woodson was born December 19, 1940 in Elk City, Oklahoma to L.R.Woodson Sr. and Cleo (Anderton) Woodson. He spent most of his schooling and formative years in Oklahoma.


Ray married the love of his life Iris Oyler in Clayton, New Mexico on November 24, 1963. To this union they were blessed with one daughter Kelli and one son Vince.


Ray was a superintendent for many schools during his working career. He enjoyed spending time with his family when not working. Ray was of the Catholic faith.


Ray was preceded in death by his parents, his Father in Law Dayle Oyler and his Mother in law Lorene Oyler. He was also preceded in death by one nephew Brock Oyler.


Left to cherish Rays memory are his wife Iris of the home, his daughter Kelli Rae Woodson, one son Vince Woodson and his wife Kimberly, two Granddaughters, Ryleigh Woodson and Kara Woodson. Ray is also survived by two sisters, Kay Atchley and husband Jack and Judy Ingle and husband Robert, two Brothers Robert Woodson and Roger Woodson and his wife Brenda, brother in law Rod Oyler and wife Rena and Donna Hiner and husband Don. Ray is also survived by several nieces and nephews who include Briana Oyler, Shandra Oyler, Tami Ingle, Elissa Snowder, Jody Atchley, Andy Atchley, Josh Woodson, Philip, Bruns, Steven Bruns, Ryan Woodson and Todd Ingle. He is also survived by a host of friends.


Visitation will take place from 2:00 P.M. till 3:30 P.M. Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Henson-Novak Funeral Home, 501 Northwest 5th street, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942.


Graveside funeral services will be conducted 10:30 Monday, March 15, 2021 at Marella Cemetery with Father Jerome Krug officiating.


Memorial Contributions may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Central / Western Oklahoma Chapter 8904 Silver Hill Drive Oklahoma City, OK 73132. The donations can be made in the names of Ray Woodson and Brock Oyler. Donations may also be accepted at Henson-Novak Funeral Directors, P.O. Box 1306, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942.
