Loren Dahl

Loren Dahl, 85-year-old longtime Gruver, Texas resident passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Privileged Care Home in Amarillo, Texas.

Loren Leroy Dahl was born February 9, 1936, Guymon, Oklahoma to Carl Oscar and Esther (TeBeest) Dahl.  Loren attended Gruver School System graduating with the class of 1956. 

On December 23, 1955, Loren was united in marriage to Evalyn Ann Edwards in Gruver, Texas. To this union they were blessed with a boy and a girl.

Loren was a farmer and rancher for most of his life.  He was known as a generous neighbor and always willing to lend a hand to his fellow man.  Loren was known as a master welder and could craft anything you needed or could think of.  He loved inventing and building new machinery. Loren also had many other interests including woodworking, collecting miniature tractors and especially spending time with family and friends.

Loren is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Robert Dahl and one sister Louella Andrews.

Left to continue Loren’s legacy are his wife of 65 years Evalyn of the home, one daughter Laurie Dahl of Amarillo, Texas and one son Russell Dahl of Amarillo, Texas. Survivors also include a sister Mavis Floyd of Gruver, Texas.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 29, 2021, at The Gruver city cemetery with Pastor Steve Chappell officiating.

The family of Loren Dahl would like to thank the caregivers of True Blessings, his nurse , Sara and all the staff of Kindred Hospice. The family would also like to thank Virginia Green of Privilege Care Home and her staff for their compassionate and loving care for our dad
