Lois Hinchey

Lois  Hinchey, 90, longtime Guymon resident, passed away Monday , September 12, 2016 at Dunaway/Heritage Manor in Guymon.

Lois Pauline Cawlfield was born on February 1, 1926 in Tajique, New Mexico to William E. and Mamie (Singleton) Cawlfield. Lois spent her younger years in New Mexico before moving to Goodwell, Oklahoma. She attended the Goodwell school system graduating with the class of 1945. Lois also attended Panhandle A and M for two years.

On December 31, 1948 she was united in marriage to Tom Hinchey at Clayton, New Mexico.  The family made their home on the ranch near Optima.  Lois worked alongside Tom and was a vital part of The Hinchey Ford Dealership for over 40 years.

Lois was a member of Victory Memorial United Methodist Church and was also a member of The United Methodist Women.

Lois is survived by a daughter Donna Hinchey ; two sons Mack Hinchey and wife Sharon and Chris Hinchey and wife Joy; all of Guymon; eight grandchildren, Macanda Block and husband Travis of Houston, Texas, Shara Hinchey of North Richland Hills, Texas, Robyn Hinchey of St. Petersburg, Florida, Averie Hinchey of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Meg and husband Capt. Scott Weibling, USMC of Aurora, Colorado, Brian Curtis and wife Liz  of Scottsdale, Arizona, Kelli Johnston and husband Dax of Edmond, Oklahoma and Jaime and husband Scott Lathrop of Guymon, Oklahoma; seven great-grandchildren, Catherine Block, Alexander Weibling, Elizabeth Weibling, Zane Lathrop, Zander Lathrop, Piper Lathrop and Kenzie Johnston.  Lois is also survived by four special lifelong friends Dorothy Wright, Ruth Atkins, Julanne Davis and Jane Keith.  Lois is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tom in 2006, six sisters and brothers, Ruth Blythe, Dave Cawlfield, Ada Weatherford, Guy Cawlfield, Fred Cawlfield and John Cawlfield. Lois was also preceded in death by two sister in laws, Elaine Nelson and husband Ed and Olivebel Parrott and husband Glenn.

Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday September 16, 2016 at Henson-Novak Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, September 17, 2016 in the Elmhurst Cemetery with a memorial service following at The Victory Memorial United Methodist Church at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Gary Holdeman and Rev. Tino Espinoza officiating.

Memorials may be given to Victory Memorial United Methodist Church, the Dunaway/ Heritage Manor or charity of choice. Memorials will be accepted by the Henson-Novak Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1306 Guymon, Oklahoma 73942.
