Konda Dockery Obituary

Konda Beth Dockery, of Boise City Ok, passed away October 22, 2020, after suffering the lasting effects of a massive stroke and a short battle of cancer. She was 78 years old.

Konda- or Connie, as known by her family and friends was born to the late Dorwin and Laura Merett, January 29th, 1942, in Beaver County, OK. Connie graduated from Gate Oklahoma in 1960 and went on to pursue a nursing degree where she later became a Registered Nurse in 1962.

She married the late W.E.(Red) Dockery in 1963, and they lived in many states due to living the military life before finally relocating to Boise City Ok where they resided for 28 yrs. Connie loved music; she could play both the piano and accordion by ear. Connie was a retired Registered Nurse, a master seamstress, and a competitive people watcher.

Though Connie’s health was failing for the past four years, she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was resilient; her unbeatable spirt kept her pushing through the pain. She was a quiet and thoughtful woman who loved her family dearly.

Connie is survived by her three children: Gail Wing (Dave) of Boise City, Ok, Dorwin Dockery (Julie) of Lexington, OK, and Robin Stafford (Anthony) of Norman, Ok. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Connie was predeceased by her loving husband “Red” of 55 yrs. in 2018.

It was her wish to be cremated and have her ashes spread along with her late husbands in a place they both held dear to their heart. She will be greatly missed by her family.
