Keshon Izaya Williams rose above this world to a higher place saved just for him in Heaven on April 17, 2021 at the age of 19 years old.
There were estimated to be 360,128 babies born on July 20, 2001 but none of those were as happy and full of life as Keshon Izaya Williams who was born in Guymon, Oklahoma to Stephanie Perez and Ronny Williams. Keshon’s first years were spent smiling and making his family smile. He played sports from the time he could roll a ball. Keshon attended Northridge Christian School and then Guymon Public School through the 7th grade. He then attended Hooker Public School until he graduated in May 2019. He was employed at Caktus Jack’s.
Anyone who knew Keshon knew two things about him – he loved basketball, football and track and he was almost always smiling. Keshon started playing soccer and running in track meets at the age of 5. Once when asked why he wasn’t in the huddle of kids trying to kick the soccer ball out, he said “ I stand on the outside because someone is going to kick the ball out, and I’ll get it first and go score a goal”. He had strategy at 5 years old. He started playing team school sports around third grade, and to Keshon, his teammates were his brothers. His determination to always become better was his motivation. He possessed perseverance and dedication but maintained humility. One would often see Keshon helping the player up who he had just tackled or patting his teammates on the back for a victory or a little encouragement.
Keshon is described as by most people as polite, helpful and always having a smile that could light up a room. He was born with that million-dollar smile. Many will comment that Keshon always encouraged them or made them feel better by the special way he talked to them and treated them and by always flashing his big warm smile.
Keshon is survived by his mother, Stephanie Perez; his father, Ronny Williams; his grandparents, Dennis and Diane Heimsoth; his great-grandmother, Minga Gonzales; his grandfather, Vic Perez; his uncle and aunt, Joe and Lori Ballard; his uncle, Tommy Strutton; his aunt, Shauna Amezcua; his uncle and aunt.
