John “Jack” Voth of Hooker, Oklahoma passed away on January 25, 2024 at the age of 87. The son of John C. and Sarah Voth, Jack was one of four children and grew up working on their family farm. After graduating from Meade Bible Academy, Jack served in the Air Force for four years. Following his military service, he worked for the Atomic Energy Commission in Las Vegas, NV, where he met and married Penni Reddie in 1970.
Jack and Penni had two sons, John and David, and relocated to Hooker, OK in 1976. Jack worked for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Company (and later Williams) as a field service operator for many years, and he was also passionate about working as a dryland wheat and milo farmer.
Jack enjoyed hot rod cars and airplanes and had a 1957 Chevy pickup that he would take to the drag strip in Las Vegas. He also had his private pilot’s license and enjoyed flying in his younger years.
Jack was a believer in Jesus Christ and loved the Lord. He attended Gospel of Grace Church in Hooker. He spent countless hours in Bible study in his favorite chair and prayed daily for the needs of his church, his country, and his immediate and extended family, including his daughter-in-law and two grandsons. No services will be scheduled, so condolences can be left for the family on this website.
