Jesse Edsel Martin,73, long time resident of Hardesty, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord on October 24, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 25, 1950, Jesse led a life filled with faith, hope, love, and kindness.
Jesse is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Vicki Gibson Martin. Jesse's legacy continues through his cherished children: Steve and Dana Martin, Scott and Collete Martin, and Jessica and Paul Jacobs. His profound influence also extends to his beloved grandchildren, Brooklyn, Austin, Lincoln, Eli, Christian, Cole, and Gracie, who will forever carry the light of his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edsel and Patsy Martin, and mourned by his brother Clinton Martin and wife Sarah, and sister Gaytha Oakes and husband Carol, along with their respective families.
In remembrance, we also honor Jesse's departed sister Jeanne Littlejohn, brother-in-law Eugene Littlejohn, infant brother Chester Elmer Martin, mother-in-law Martha Gibson, and father-in-law Arlo Gibson.
Jesse’s impact on those around him was immeasurable, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered for his unwavering love, his wisdom, and his ability to light up any room with his warm presence.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Henson-Novak Funeral Home, with family available from 5:00 - 7:00.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Jesse's life will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church, Guymon, Oklahoma.
A Graveside Service will take place at 4:00 PM at Hartville Cemetery near Hardesty, Oklahoma.
