James Holt

James Holt, 79-year-old Boise City, Oklahoma resident passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Cimarron Memorial Hospital in Boise City.

James Holt was born October 31, 1942, in Haskell, Oklahoma to William Leonard and Thelma “Emma” Arzella (Morgan) Holt. He was the youngest of fourteen children born to this marriage.

James moved to Boise City about four years ago.

He graduated High School in 1963. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country until he was honorably discharged in October 1972 as part of the Specialist Five Ordnance Corps.

He was united in marriage to Frankie Holt on July 29, 1991.

He had many hobbies but enjoyed spending time with his family is what brought him the greatest joy.

Preceding him in death are his mother and father Emma and Leonard Holt, nine brothers and sisters: Emma Holt, Allen Holt, Ford Holt, Ishmael “Ish” Holt, Faye Holt Shinny, Maudie” Alice” Holt Dobbins, Frank Holt and Nola” Evon” Holt, Caroline, Anne and Marie James was also preceded in death by one son: Russell Holt.

Left to carry on his legacy are his children: Elizabeth Holt Schlegel and husband Ed of Challenge, California, Caress Holt Toon and husband Kyle of Boise City, Oklahoma,  John Holt of Oroville, California, Wanda and husband Don, James and wife Beverly and Jessee, twelve grandchildren: Brandi, Joshua, Justin, Jessica, Shelby, Kaitlyn, Isaac, Rhyatt, Khristyn, Trevor, Haeden and Elisha, five great-grandchildren: Phoebe, Daniel, Ollie, Adriel and Krysten. James is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins along with a host of friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be held 2:00 P.M Monday, January 10, 2022, at The First Baptist Church in Boise City with Pastor Trevor Bulls officiating.
