Elena Perez

Elena Castillo Perez, 82 of Lubbock, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday June 9th, 2020 in Guymon, Oklahoma.

Elena was born in Rocksprings, Texas on March 29th, 1938 to Roque and Maria Castillo. She married Conrado Perez Sr. in 1961 and resided in Friona, Texas. They were married for 40 years until his passing in 2001. Elena worked numerous years at Parmer County Community Hospital in Friona. She enjoyed crocheting,quilting,reading novels and spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 sister, Eloisa Castillo, 5 brothers, Felix Castillo, Tomas Castillo, Domingo Castillo, Roque Castillo Jr. and  Alberto Castillo.

She is survived by 7 children, Sylvia Raymond (Steve) of Guymon, Oklahoma. Henry Hernandez of Friona Texas, Manuel Hernandez (Nadera) of Milner, Georgia. Terry Coburn of Guymon, Oklahoma. Sally Aguirre of Lubbock, Texas, Conrado Perez Jr. of Lubbock, Texas, Rachel Prieto (Ricky) of Lubbock, Texas. 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

3 sisters Rosa Gamez of Hobbs, New Mexico, Hilda Gonzales of Junction, Texas. Estella Perez of Fort McKavett, Texas, 3 brothers Roberto Castillo of Amarillo, Texas Humberto Castillo of Hobbs, New Mexico and Arturo Castillo of Hobbs, New Mexico, 

She will greatly be missed and remembered for always standing at the door blessing us as we drove off.
