Dr. Jasper L. Wheeler

Dr. Jasper Lawrence Wheeler Jr., M.D., 99 year old resident of Boise City passed away at his home on Sunday, August 16th, 2020.

Dr. Wheeler was born April 4th, 1921 to J.L. Wheeler Sr. and Cecil Lyter in Hastings, Nebraska. While serving his country during World War II as Naval Aviation Lt. Commander from 1941 – 1945, he was united in marriage on March 21st, 1943 to Reba Wheeler in Durant, Oklahoma. To this union they were blessed with five children Larry, Evan, Paul, Everett and Carol.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years Reba Wheeler, his son Everett Wheeler and by his daughter Carol Wheeler.

Dr. Wheeler is survived by three sons Larry Wheeler and his wife Kathy of Port O’Conner, Texas, Evan Wheeler, D.D.S. and his wife Sherry of North Pole, Alaska, and Paul Wheeler, M.D. and his wife Dee of Clayton, New Mexico. He is also survived by eight grandchildren Matt, John, Adrienne, Brian, Cheyenne, Kevin, Regan and Sarah and by his eighteen great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 27th, 2020 at the Boise City School Auditorium with Trevor Bulls officiating.
