Dolores Tooley Obituary

Dolores (Doe) Mae Tooley passed from this life July 23, 2021 at the age of 87. She was born February 8, 1934 in Springdale, Arkansas to Ewell Julius Kohler and Parlee Jensen Kohler. Doe was united in marriage with Roy Wayne Tooley in Clayton , New Mexico on November 20 , 1950. They celebrated their 70th anniversary last year. This union was blessed with eight children ; Phyllis Rogene, Roy Jerome (Chub), Russell Wayne, Vicki Arlene, Shelley Frances, Bristol Kent, Terri Lee, David Christopher.

Doe worked along side her husband and kids farming and ranching. She spent many hours on a tractor, moving irrigation pipe , working cattle and gardening. She also worked at the drug store in her early years; and in later years drove a school bus, helped at the school cafeteria , and worked at the Pizza Hut and J & N Drive- in. Through it all , she managed to keep the family , and a few extras , well fed , clean and clothed. Doe and Wayne owned and worked their farm on the state line south of Boise City until they sold it and purchased part of the Kohler Ranch. The Ranch was her home for the remaining forty plus years. She loved the ranch, gardening and crocheting. She especially loved Grandpa Wayne , her kids , grandkids and great-grandkids.

Doe was preceded in passing by her loving husband of 70 years; Wayne Tooley;  her parents; sisters Frances Collins and Helen Hein; and daughter-in-law Carla Tooley. Those left to continue her legacy include; daughters , Rogene Heugatter and husband Charlie of Boise City, Vicki Chick and husband Trull of Campo, Shelley of Boise City, and Terri Tooley and Danny Mankins of Maricopa, AZ; sons Chub and wife Susie of Boise City, Rusty,of Spencer Kent and wife Cheri of Keyes and David of Boise City; sister-in-law Barbara Messersmith of Boise City; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren , as well as a host of many other loving nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Graveside Services for Dolores will be held on Saturday July 24th , 2021 at 3:00 P.M at Garrett Cemetery with Pastor Kim Mizer officiating.
