Daniel Boyd

Daniel Boyd ,  64 old resident of Spearman, Texas, passed away Wednesday , June 2, 2021 at Hansford County Hospital in Spearman, Texas.

Daniel Alan Boyd was born January 18, 1957 in Perryton, Texas to Irvin and Helen Jo ( Sanders ) Boyd. Daniel attended Gruver schools, graduating with the class of 1975. After high school he attended Oklahoma Panhandle State University.

He worked for GTE and Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for a time after college, then went on to form his own company, Boyd Ditching. He also worked as a truck driver.

Daniel Loved fishing , hunting trucks and motorcycles, but enjoyed spending time with his family the most.

he was preceded in death by his father in 2019 and two sister, Betty West and Mary Wester.

Daniel is survived by his mother, Helen Boyd, of Spearman, fiancee , Kim Phillips Turner of Perryton, one son, Travis Boyd and wife Alison Smith of Spearman, two daughters, Kandace Booth and husband Thomas of Pittsburg, Texas, and Gabi Robertson and husband Kody of Hannibal, Missouri. He is also survived by six grandchildren, one brother, five nieces and a host of friends.

Daniel will be fondly remembered first and foremost for being a man of God, but also for his kindness and generosity.

Visitation will be held 3:00 P.M till 9:00 P.M. Sunday, June 6, 2021 at First Christian Church in Gruver.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday , June 7, 2021 at First Christian Church with Pastor Gary Gumfory officiating.

Burial will follow at the Gruver Cemetery.
