Chuma Vega

Jesus Salvador (Chuma) Vega, 32-year-old Goodwell, Oklahoma resident passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, in an auto accident.

Jesus was born on September 5, 1989, in Greeley, Colorado to Benjamin and Maria Amparo (Diaz) Vega.  He attended the Goodwell public school system graduating with the class of 2008.  After high school he attended Seward County Community College graduating in 2009.

Jesus was involved with several businesses that he owned and operated. 

On August 12, 2017, he was united in marriage to Yaritza Janeth Rodriguez and to this union they were blessed with 4 children.

He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Guymon.

He had many interests, but being a father was what made him the happiest.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Jesus Vega Renteria, Maria Santos Aldana de Vega and Salvador Diaz and one Uncle Jesus Alonso Vega, two cousins: Ivon Ibon and Aiden Hernandez.

He is survived by his wife of the home, one daughter; Cielo Alejandra Vega, three sons; Jesus Adolfo Vega, Javier Santos Vega and Benjamin Jaciel Vega, his parents; Ben and Maria Vega, two sisters Jasmin Amparo Recendez and husband Fernando, Princesa Maria Vega; one brother Angel de Jesus Vega.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held at Henson-Novak Funeral Directors starting Thursday, September 9, 2021, from 9:00 A.M. till 6:00 P.M. and Friday, September 10, 2021, from 9:00 A.M. till 5:00 P.M.  A Rosary will be held 7:00 P.M.  Friday, September 10, 2021, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will take place 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 11, 2021, at St. Peter’s Church in Guymon.  Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery.
