Christene Begley

Christene Laverne Jones Begley, 82 year old resident of Goodwell, Oklahoma passed away on October 15th, 2020 at Heritage Community in Guymon, Oklahoma.

Christene was born on March 29th, 1938 to Chester Jones and Jewell Shelton in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She attend Moss High School and graduated with the Class of 1956. She married Jack V. Begley on December 26th, 1959 and they couple was blessed with two sons Rafe and Eric.

Christene is preceded in death by her husband Jack Begley, her son Rafe Begley, her parents Chester and Jewell Jones and by one of her brothers Larry Jones.

Survivors include one son: Eric Begley of Goodwell, Oklahoma; daughter-in-law: Joyce Begley of Liberal, Kansas; three grandsons: Travis Begley and wife Macy of Stratford, Texas, Ben Sumner and wife Kate of Damascas, Virginia, Michael Begley and wife Carly of Pretty Prairie, Kansas and three great-grand daughters. Survivors also include two brothers: Robert Jones and wife Leta Mae of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Lindon Jones and wife June of San Antonio, Texas; along with one sister-in-law Saundra Stringfellow and husband Ronnie of Holdenville, Oklahoma.

Memorials in Christene’s honor may be made to OPSU Foundation or United Methodist Church of Goodwell in c/o Henson-Novak Funeral Home at PO Box 1306 Guymon, Oklahoma 73942

Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, October 20th, 2020 at United Methodist Church of Goodwell with David Jenkins officiating.
