Charlotte Thompson Obituary

Charlotte Irene Thompson of Boise City, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at the age of 77.

Born on May 30, 1944 in Bismarck, North Dakota, She is preceded in death by her father Theophile Antone and her mother Mary Ann (Day) Fischer as well as her brother Paul Fischer and nephew David Fischer.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bobby (Bob) Gene Thompson and five children: her adopted daughter Judy Lea Broaddus of Boise City, Oklahoma and Judy’s three children Garrett, Todd, and Toni; her daughter, Monica Anne Thompson, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Monica’s daughters Sabre and Sage; her son Bobby Gene Thompson, Jr. of Boise City, Oklahoma and Bobby’s three children Arista, Christopher, and Nathanial; her daughter Erin (Nikki) Thompson Paden of Chickasha, Oklahoma and her husband, Matthew, and their children Greg and Ember; and her son, James (Jamie) Larmen Thompson II of Crestview, Florida and his wife Jessica and their two boys Lincoln and Maxwell. She was the great grandmother to 12 and great great grandmother to one. She is survived by two brothers Jerome and Bernard.

Charlotte never met a stranger. She made friends no matter where she went, and they stayed her friends for life. Everyone knew her by her boisterous personality, big hugs and bright colors. She and Bob owned and operated a harvest crew for over 30 years and then turned to long haul truck driving for the next several years. Charlotte was very proud that she could operate just about anything you put her in, especially the 18-wheeler.

She was very proud of all of her children and grandchildren and always bragged about their accomplishments. She once made the fastest sailboat in the 3rd grade division of the “Rain Gutter Regatta.” Many remember her banana and zucchini bread that she loved to make for everyone. In recent years, one of her greatest comforts and joys were her “YaYa’s”, 4 pm Monday through Friday at the Bluebonnet Cafe.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 2:00 pm CST at St. Paul’s Methodist Church. A family meal will be served at the church at noon before the service. No graveside services will be held at this time.
