Charles 'Chuck" Summers 85-year-old resident of Boise City, Oklahoma passed away Saturday July 23, 2022, at Baptist Saint Anthony Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.
Chuck was born May1st, 1937 to Roy. E. Summers and Gladys Marie (Cook) Summers in Boise City, Oklahoma. Chuck was the 2nd of five children. Chuck grew up in the Felt Community and started school there before the family moved back to Gentry, Arkansas in 1951. Chuck graduated in 1956 and joined the Air Force in 1956 during the Korean Conflict and served 4 years. Chuck returned home and went to work for The State of Oklahoma as a trapper both in Nowata and Hardesty, Oklahoma.
Chuck moved back to Boise City and worked for Denton Ellard north of Lake Etling and Buddy Taylor as a rancher. Chuck moved back to Boise City and went to work for Dicky Hodges in 1970 until Dicky’s Death.
Chuck, Bob Wilson & J.L Wheeler made several trips to Alaska, Fishing throughout the years. Chuck will always be remembered for his quiet and gentle heart and always willing to providing a helping hand.
Chuck is proceeded in death by his Parents; Roy Gladys Summers, brother Robert Summers and Niece; Melissa Summers & Brother-in-Law; James Taylor.
Chuck is survived by brothers; Johnny Summers of Lamar, Colorado & Lee Summers & wife Melva, and his sister Annabelle Taylor both of Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Nieces; Kea Boedecker, Sherry Berrysmith, Belinda Waide, Terri Walker and Tammy Miller. Nephews; Billy King and wife Jeanette King, Jimmy Summers, Berlen Summer and Russell Summers and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, from 5:00 P.M to 7:00 P.M at Henson Novak Funeral Home in Boise City with family receiving friends.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Henson Novak Funeral Home in Boise City with Interment following at Boise City Cemetery
Memorials may be made in Chuck's Memory to the Boise City Cemetery or to the charity of choice.
