Bob White Obituary

Bob White 83-year-old longtime Boise City, Oklahoma resident passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at The Cimarron Memorial Hospital in Boise City, Oklahoma. 

Bobby D. White “Bob D” was born on July 18, 1939, in Boise City to his parents Ruby (Allen) White and Charles Wade White.

Bob grew up in Cimarron County and attended the Boise City School system and graduated High School with the class of 1957.

In 1955, he met the love of his life, Paula Hart, and they were united in marriage on June 5th, 1960 at the Boise City First Baptist Church.

Bob became Interested in higher learning and started attending Oklahoma Panhandle State University and Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva. After college, He enlisted into the Army at age 22 in 1961 and was in the 202nd Signal Corps, he rose to the rank of an E-7. While in the army he traveled to Bangkok, Thailand.

He returned to Oklahoma to begin a career in law enforcement that lasted for 43 years. Bob belonged to many law enforcement associations and clubs including - president of The Oklahoma Sheriff’s Association, he was president of Oklahoma County Officers and Deputies Association, president of The Northwest District County Officer’s Association, Vice President of The Five State Peace Officers Association, and Vice President of The Heartland of America Sheriff’s Association for eight states.

Memberships included: National Sheriff’s Association, The Heartland of America Sheriff’s Association, The Five States Peace Officers Association, The United Peace Officers Association, The Oklahoma Sheriff’s Association, He was a life member of The Oklahoma Sheriff’s and Peace Officers Association, The Oklahoma County Officers and Deputies Association, The Northwest District County Officers Association, The Northwest Law Enforcement Association and the VFW Post 7092 of Boise City.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Charles and Ruby White, one brother; Charles Allen White and his wife Joan White, one sister; Mildred Marie Elliott and her husband Earl Elliott, one daughter Melody Urban and husband Ritson Urban, son in law Gary Reed and granddaughter Danika Reed

Bob is survived by his wife of 62 years; Paula White, their children; sons Rod White of Blum, Texas, Royce White and wife Melissa of Carmen, Oklahoma, and daughter; Starla Reed of Springfield, Colorado.

Bob was a member of The First Baptist Church in Boise City.

He is also survived by his grandchildren: Cody White, Kashen Urban & wife Shelbi, Kamden Urban, Kailen Urban, Kaiser White, Kelsey Reed, Kelby Reed, Kanisha Birt & husband Dakota, and Kassie Reed, ten great-grandchildren; Carter Urban, Legend Urban, Paisley Reed, Makiea Brune, Hunter Reed, Payton Reed, Serenity Riddick, Cameron Blake, Danika Birt and Josie Birt.
 

He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Visitation will take place 2:00 p.m. till 7p.m. Sunday, September 4, 2022, at Henson- Novak Funeral Directors in Boise City.
 
Funeral Services will be held on September 5th, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at The First Baptist Church with Trevor Bulls officiating.
