Billy Gore Obituary

Billy Wayne Gore was born October 22, 1932 in Texhoma, Oklahoma to Worth and Ettie (Arnold) Gore and he gained his heavenly wings on March 2, 2021 in Boise City, Oklahoma at the age of 88.

Bill attended Stratford, Texas public schools graduating with the class of 1950.  Shortly after high school he enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country until he received his honorable discharge in 1956.

He married the love of his life, miss Ruby Rice on June 19, 1959 in Clayton, New Mexico. To this union they were blessed three children; Teresa, Randy Wayne and Kurt Porter.

Bill worked as a custom harvester and also worked for Ellard Oil Company. He also worked for Thompsons Massey Ferguson.  Bill retired from the Boise City Co-op in 2004.

He really didn’t have too many hobbies besides work, but when he wasn’t working he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents Worth and Ettie, his step-mother Maycle Gore, one son Kurt Porter Gore, five brothers, Guy, Mike, Howard, Leroy and Jack. Billy was also preceded in death by three sisters Pauline Smith, Jewel Renner and Lucelle Ingle, one Brother in law Emmitt Rice.

Bill is survived by his wife Ruby of the home; Daughter Teresa and Husband Randy Harkins of Chandler, Oklahoma, Son Randy Wayne and wife Jacque Gore of Ceres California, four Brothers Perry, Jerry and Robert of Texhoma, Oklahoma and Billy Don Oldaker of Indiana, three sisters Mary Wiebe of Guymon, Oklahoma Ola Mae Rhodes of Texhoma, Oklahoma and Almenia Huddleston of Tulsa Oklahoma.

 Billy also leaves seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren to cherish his memory. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 22, 2021 at the Kenton Cemetery in Kenton, Oklahoma with Jerry Rice officiating.
