Billie Ruth Twombly 87-year-old Amarillo, Texas and former longtime Texas county resident passed away Monday, May 3, 2021 at BSA Hospital in Amarillo.
Billie Ruth Brown was born April 3, 1934 in Liberal, Kansas to Jewels Frederick brown Sr. and Ethel (Walton) Brown. She attended Plainview School System graduating with the class of 1953.
Billie was united in Marriage to Arther Lee Twombly on February 25, 1950 in Clayton, New Mexico. To this union they were blessed with three children, Arla, Teddy and Randy.
She was a strong influence on her children and was a homemaker caring for them during their formative years. Billie was involved in all her kids’ activities.
Billie was a member of the Methodist Church until several years ago when they moved to Amarillo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arther in 2008, and one sister Beverly K. Brown Asher.
Billie is survived by one daughter Arla Twombly Hiner of Amarillo, Texas, two sons Teddy Twombly and wife Trish of Royce City, Texas and Randy Twombly and wife Rolisa of Amarillo, Texas, six grandchildren, Amy Hiner Yott and husband Chris of Amarillo, Texas, Jacob Twombly of Dallas, Texas, Caleb Twombly of Royce City, Texas, Matthew Utzman and Mia of Austin, Texas, Josh Utzman and wife Bethany of Amarillo, Texas and Brittany Sanders of Amarillo, Texas. She also leaves behind to cherish her memories eleven great-grandchildren, Abbigail Yott, Jamin Yott, Jacob Twombly Jr. Ashton Utzman, Makaya Watson, Keili Friemel, Kadence Friemel, Sawyer Sanders. Cora Utzman, Chloe Utzman, Calista Utzman, Conrad Utzman.
Visitation will be held 9:00 A.M. till 11:30 A.M. Friday, May 7, 2021 at Henson-Novak Funeral Home in Boise City.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, May 7, 2021 at Marella Cemetery with Teddy Twombly presiding.
