Anita Chavez

Anita Martinez Chavez 71- year-old resident of Liberal, Kansas passed away Saturday morning, June 11, 2022, at The Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal, Kansas.

Anita Martinez was born on August 13, 1950, in Riconada, Durango Mexico to Jose and Petra Martinez Chavez.

She moved to Liberal from Mexico in 1979 and worked at National Beef.
In her spare time, she was involved with her churches women’s ministry. She loved to read her bible and was a prayer leader. She also loved the water, fishing, and camping.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Anita is survived by two brothers: Eliseo Chavez and wife Griselda of Liberal, Kansas and Alejandro Chavez and wife Maria of San Antonio. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Service Details 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday. June 15, 2022, at Miller Mortuary in Liberal from 4:00 P.M till 7:00 P.M

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Miller Mortuary in Liberal with Reverend Sylvia Cardoza officiating.

Interment will follow at Liberal City Cemetery.
