Adela Groves

Adela Groves, 55-year-old resident of Texhoma, Texas passed away unexpectedly Monday May 2nd, 2022, at her home. 

Adela Cervantes Groves was born December 16, 1966, in Chihuahua, Mexico to Fidel Cervantes Montenegro and Maria Bricia Baca de Cervantes.

Adela attended school in Mexico graduating in 1972.

Adela was a kindhearted person who loved gardening, growing many types of flowers, crocheting and spending time with family, especially the grandchildren. She was very artistic and loved drawing. She passed this down to her children.

During her working career she worked in the cafeteria at the Texhoma High School. She was known as a very hard worker.

In May of 2004 she was united in marriage to Domingo Perez.

Adela was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Rufino Cervantes.

She is survived by her husband Domingo of the home, three daughters: María Groves Cervantes of Goodwell, Oklahoma, Lucero Groves of Kansas City, Missouri and Alondra Moncayo of Texhoma, Texas: six grandchildren: Avalynne Gonzales, Drayce Michael, Jorge Ramirez, Noah Michael, Aria McAuliffe and Maria Elana: six sisters: Elidia Cervantes de Borunda, Monica Cervantes, Licha Ortega, Luz Ester Palma, Bertha Alicia Cervantes de Porras and Maria Esperanza Cervantes: two brothers: Jesus Ernesto Cervantes and Israel Cervantes.

Visitation will be held 3:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2022, at the Henson-Novak Funeral Home, 700 South 1st street, Texhoma, Texas.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2022, at the Henson-Novak Funeral Home, 700 South 1st street Texhoma, Texas.

Interment will follow in the Texhoma Cemetery.
