Ace Hawkins Obituary

Ace Wayne Hawkins, 25 years old, of Newcastle, Oklahoma left us way too soon September 19, 2018 due to a fatal car accident.  Ace was born August 31, 1993 in Boise City, Oklahoma to parents Tim Nathan Hawkins and Mary Elizabeth Clark.  He graduated from Boise City High School in 2011 and from the OSU Okmulgee Diesel Mechanic Program in 2013.  Ace started his own diesel mechanic business in July 2017 – Smokin Ace’s Diesel.

Ace was baptized August 2005 in the Boise City Christian Church by his proud grandpa, Chuck Hawkins.  He often referred to his church family as part of his family and he felt at home.

Ace always put his family first and he took a lot of pride being a new dad; he was devoted to his baby girl.  He was closest to his sister, Shelby as they could lift each other up with their laughs and deep love for each other.  His cousin, Cody, was like a brother to him as they grew up together and were very close.  He was ready to help anyone any time day or night, a generous and giving man.

Ace enjoyed beating his grandmother playing gin rummy, spending time fishing, tinkering with Monster Trucks, target shooting, and he had a lot of friends.  Ace was always ready with a story that would leave you laughing and smiling – he had a charm about him and an infectious laugh that made him a fun-loving good person to be with.

He is survived by his 1-year old Daughter, Lorelai Summer Hawkins of Keyes, Oklahoma; Mother, Mary Elizabeth Clark of St. John, Kansas, Bonus Mother, Barbara Ann Hawkins of Boise City , Oklahoma; Grandmother, Sandra Lou Hawkins, of Boise City, Oklahoma; Sisters Kari and David Maul of Boise City, Oklahoma; Rachel Nicole Hawkins of St. John, Kansas; Shelby Rae Hawkins of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Brother Dustin Lane Schwindt of Boise City, Oklahoma; Cousins Cody Tyler Hawkins of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Cheyenne Skie Hawkins of Abilene, Texas, Chantell Starr Hawkins of Anchorage, Alaska; Niece Kendra Danelle Bay of Russell, Kansas; Nephews Aiden Daniel Watts of Wilson, Kansas, Mason Lane Schwindt of Boise City, Oklahoma; Aunts/Uncle Sharla Kay Beeken of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Tod Alan and Dale Ann Hawkins of Gentry, Arkansas;  Great Uncles and Aunts Charles and Marilyn Payne, Boise City, Marilyn and Marty Bayer of Gentry, Arkansas, Sharon Rich of Farmington, Missouri.  He had many second and third cousins and Bonus Mom’s siblings and cousins.  Ace felt a connection to all these people in his life and they all held a special place in his heart.

He was preceded in death by his Grandfather, Charles Nathan Hawkins of Boise City, Oklahoma and his Father, Tim Nathan Hawkins of Boise City, Oklahoma.

Three words that could sum up Ace’s life – Family Fun Friend.  His life was cut way too short and he will be dearly missed.  The memories gained from his presence on this earth will live on forever in all those he touched.  Rest in peace our dear beloved Ace.
