Mike Townsley Obituary (1950 - 2025)

Michael (Mike) Ronald Townsley, of Keyes, Oklahoma, passed away on December 16, 2025, at the age of 75. Born to Earlene and O.B. Townsley on July 23, 1950, in Santa Anna, Texas, Mike moved to Boise City at the tender age of 12. He would eventually meet his love in 1971 and subsequently marry her in March of 1972. To this beautiful union 5 children were born. In 1976 he moved to Keyes, where he continued to live, immersed in the beautiful simplicity of rural life. Mike dedicated the majority of his life to the noble profession of farming, a role he cherished until his well-earned retirement. In his spare time, Mike had a keen interest in collecting Indian artifacts and coins, always intrigued by the stories they held. His other passion was his garden, with a particular fondness for his tomatoes. Mike is survived by his lovely wife of 53 years Karen Townsley of the home, their loving children Helen Blackburn and husband Mark of Keyes; Chris Townsley and partner Lisa Lee of Yukon; Lee Townsley and wife Katie of Custer City; and Kevin Townsley and wife Jyl of Arapaho; and one brother Clint Townsley and wife Jendy of Canyon Texas. Fourteen grandchildren: Shawn and Shain Blackburn, Kodi, Reese, and Raydin Townsley, Michael, Chrissy (Gibson), Kerri, and Matthew Townsley, Trey Bailey, Hatti and Collin Roof, Ally and Emma Townsley. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, several nephews, and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earlene and O.B. Townsley and his youngest son Nic Townsley. Mike will be remembered as a loving father, a dedicated farmer, and an avid collector with a zest for life and the simple pleasures it offers. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21 st 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Henson-Novak Funeral Home in Boise City. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 22 nd 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ in Keyes. Memorial Contributions may be made in Mike’s name to help with funeral expenses.
