Jennifer Yates-Williams
August 3, 1958 – December 17, 2025
Jennifer Yates-Williams, a woman whose heart overflowed with love and whose spirit lit up every room, passed away on December 17, 2025, at her home in Hooker, Oklahoma, surrounded by her beloved family. After bravely battling grade 4 glioblastoma brain cancer, Jennifer’s journey on this earth came to a peaceful close, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and unwavering devotion to those she cherished. She had a way of making everyone feel seen, cared for, and often, thoroughly entertained.
Mrs. B’s vibrant spirit was evident from her earliest days. As the daughter of a harvester, her childhood was marked by travel, adventure, and the development of resilience and adaptability. She attended grade school in Oakwood, Oklahoma, junior high in Moore, Oklahoma, and completed her high school education in Ulysses, Kansas. During these formative years, she welcomed her beloved son Cory Williams into the world on June 7, 1976.
On December 15, 1978, Jennifer married the love of her life, Lowell Williams. For 47 years, Lowell stood by her side, a steadfast partner who shared in her laughter, her challenges, and her endless love for family. Jennifer was the heart and anchor of their blended family, which included Joyce (Williams) Cross, Rick Williams, Melissa Williams, Cory Williams, and together they welcomed their favorite beautiful spoiled brat daughter, Teresa (Williams) Colantonio, born December 20, 1981 completing their family. Jennifer delighted talking on the phone to all of her friends and family, she truly loved every family gathering, every holiday, and every moment spent creating memories with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren
Jennifer’s professional life was a reflection of her generous and playful nature. She began her career in patient care, serving home health, hospice, and dialysis patients with remarkable empathy and dedication. Later, she became the beloved “Queen B” of Dizzy B’s Corner Mart on Main Street in Guymon, Oklahoma. Since opening the store in November 2005, Jennifer became famous for her biscuits and gravy, her homemade potato soup on chilly days, and her legendary Taco Friday's. Her warmth, quick wit, and infectious energy turned the store into a place where everyone felt like family.
Her love of family extended beyond the walls of the home. Jennifer had a way of turning ordinary moments into memories that would be laughed about for years. From joking with her children on the way to appointments, to insisting birthdays weren’t complete without her Texas sheet cake, to teasing Teresa relentlessly about her driving skills while still showering her with love. Jennifer’s humor and devotion were inseparable parts of her life.
Jennifer is survived by her husband, Lowell Williams; her children, Joyce Cross (Truman), Rick Williams, Melissa Williams, Cory Williams (Kimberly), and Teresa Colantonio (Mike); her grandchildren, Joseph Williams, Tiffini McCurry, Preston Griffin, Tyson Williams, Cayden Williams, Jaylen Williams, Daniel Williams, Steven Williams, Brody Williams, Terah Head, and Brek Colantonio; and her great-grandchildren, Rylan Williams, Brynlee Williams, Brighten McAnarney, Zadeon Segura, Kinsley McCarter, Izabella McCarter, and Emery McCarter.
