Ruth Babb, 83, passed away January 11, 2017 in Guymon.

The daughter Agnes Lona (Thornton) and Benjamin Tyre, Ruth was born December 26, 1933 in Zolfo Springs, Florida.  She had moved to Guymon from Colorado Springs, Colorado so she could live with her daughter. 

Ruth was the original gypsy soul, a beautiful vaudeville showgirl, but first and foremost, our beloved Mother. 

She is survived by her four children, Ginger James of Bellingham, Washington; Susan Babb of Colorado Springs; Carol Perea and husband, John, of Guymon; and Russell Babb of Colorado Springs.  She is also survived by four grandchildren, Israel James, Holly Carpenter, Benjamin Perea and Nicholas Perea; and one great grandchild, Asia James.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Randy Babb who passed away in 1999; eleven brothers and  sisters.

Cremation and arrangements are entrusted to Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon.  The family will have a private service at a later date.
