Oswaldo Olivas Contreras, 64, passed away Saturday morning, October 28th, 2017 at University Medical Center, Lubbock, Texas.

The son of Petra Contreras and Jose Olivas, he was born July 17, 1953 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico.  He was married to Angela Soto on September 11, 1976.  She passed away June 30, 2015.  Mr. Contreras had worked for Seaboard Industries, loading trucks for several years.

He is survived by three daughters, Princely Olivas and Stacy Olivas of Dumas, Texas; Maessy Rubio and husband, Juan of Hobbs, New Mexico; four sisters, Agueda Nieto, Blanca Olivas, Alfa Olivas and Olga Padilla; and a brother, Rueben Olivas; and six grandchildren, Oswbert Olivas, Skyler Olivas, Navaeh Hernandez; Naiyah Hernandez; Anthony Rubio and Maeson Rubio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and his wife.

Graveside funeral services will be Tuesday afternoon, October 31, 2017 at Elmhurst Cemetery, Guymon, Oklahoma.  Services are entrusted to Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon.
