Mickey Huddleston Obituary

Mickey Huddleston, 49 year old Canyon, Texas resident, passed away Tuesday afternoon, September 11, 2018, as a result of a car accident outside of Guymon, Oklahoma.

The son of Almenia (Gore) and Darrel Huddleston, Mickey Dean Huddleston was born, July 4, 1969 in Guymon.  He was reared in the Texhoma community where he attended school and was active in sports and FFA. He graduated from Texhoma High School in 1987.  Mickey then graduated from Oklahoma Panhandle State University with a degree in Agriculture Business and Management in 1991.  He was united in marriage to Tina Breeden on November 16, 1990.

Mickey began his career in agriculture and was well-known and respected as an agronomist for Pioneer Seeds.  He was a proud and loving husband and father to Tina and Chandler.  Mickey supported Chandler in all his activities and endeavors, and he never hesitated to tell anyone that his son was the WTAMU student body president.  The Huddlestons lived in Rolla, Kansas for many years before moving to Canyon, Texas.  In Canyon, Mickey was an active member of Living Water Christian Fellowship.  Mickey enjoyed golf, and he enjoyed anything with Tina and Chandler, whether it was biking, hiking or travel adventures.

Mickey is survived by his wife, Tina Huddleston; son, Chandler Huddleston, both of Canyon; his mother, Almenia Huddleston of Texhoma; sister, Cindy French and husband, Chris of Jenks, OK; brother, Carl Huddleston and wife, Lisa of Tilesville, FL, and his soon to be daughter-in-law, Karly Clinesmith of Canyon.    He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Doris Breeden of Spearman, TX; brothers-in-law, Robert Breeden and wife, Jada of Spearman and Joe Breeden and wife, Tammie of Guymon; and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, Darrel Huddleston who passed away in 2014 and father-in-law, Bob Breeden in 2016.

Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon, September 15th, 2:00 PM at the Texhoma School Auditorium, with Pastor Shane Nease of Living Water Christian Fellowship and Pastor Stacy Ross of Northridge Baptist Church officiating.  Interment will follow in the Texhoma Cemetery.

Everything that Mickey did was filled with love. He always had a smile on his face, and he was resilient enough that nothing could ever bring him down. Mickey never met a stranger because he was filled with a genuine love for people. Mickey loved his job, he loved to travel, but he loved his family most of all. Mickey has created a legacy that will live on forever.

Memorials may be given in order to establish a scholarship that benefits four organizations that Chandler is involved with – West Texas A&M Student Government, West Texas A&M Students Assisting ‘n’ Good Endeavors (SAGE), West Texas A&M Peer Leaders and the West Texas A&M CFA Research Team,  with donations being sent to Henson-Novak Funeral Directors, P.O.
