Kathy Logsdon Obituary

Kathy Logsdon, 75, passed away Friday evening, April 19th, 2019 at Covenant Hospital, Lubbock, Texas.

The daughter of Frances (Williams) and David Harbour, Kathryn Jo Harbour was born October 27, 1943.  Kathy spent her early years in Dallas, graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School.  It was at Texas Tech University that this Dallas girl met this panhandle boy.  Kathy and Billy Logsdon were united in marriage on August 15, 1964 in Dallas.  After Billy and Kathy graduated from Texas Tech, they moved to the farm and made their home in Hitchland, Texas.  Kathy was active in her children’s lives in Gruver, and in her church, Gruver United Methodist Church.                                                . 

To Billy, she was “Kate”; to her three children, she was the always supportive and available “Mom”; and her best gig came as “Gamma” to her perfect and precious eight grandchildren. 

Kathy is survived by her husband of 54 years, Billy Logsdon; their three children, Shelly Cotter and husband, Chuck of Dallas, Texas; Chad Logsdon and wife, Julie of Gruver; Tracy Mulady and husband, Pat of Allen, Texas; eight grandchildren, Kyle, Avery, and Paige Cotter, Zach Logsdon, Alex Northcott and husband, Richie, Cole Logsdon, Ryan and Maggie Mulady.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Frances Harbour, and her sister, Judy McDermott.

Visitation and viewing will be Monday evening, April 22nd, 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church, 506 E Broadway, Gruver.

Memorial services will be Tuesday morning, 11:00 A.M. at  First United Methodist Church, Gruver, with Rev. Steve Chappell, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in Gruver Cemetery.  Services are entrusted to Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon, Oklahoma.

Memorials may be given to the Hansford Manor, 707 Roland Street, Spearman, TX  79081 or the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 977, Gruver, TX  79040.
