Mike & family, I have many happy memories of both your dad & mother. Your mother was my kindergarten teacher. Your parents were such good friends of my dad & mother. May God's blessed assurance of eternal life give you comfort & peace ,knowing that your parents are with their Lord & Savior.
With much sympathy,
Nancy Meyer

Herman (Junior) was such a joy to be around and wish that I had made more time to visit with him when passing through the Guyman area. Our last visit he informed me that he spent the summer after high school graduation with my Grandparents Myrtie and Lester and cousin Jack. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family during this time.
We have access to the Smith/Gillispie geno if someone in Herman's family is interested: Bob Chance 479 667 0871 home 479 97 2047 cell

I am so very sorry for your loss! Please find comfort from a scripture I'm sure you have read several times before but is personal to you now.
"And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." (Revelation 21:4) Jw.org

I am so thankful to have known Herman. He was a great friend and example to many people. Always a kind and caring word with a sincerity one appreciated. Herman was a special man that walked the walk.

I really liked Herman. He and I rode many miles together testing wells when he worked for the Okla. Corp. Commission. We had plenty of time to talk and discuss everything. We always had ideas of how to solve the world's problems. I think the world would have been a lot better today if they had listened to Herman's ideas. Tom Brokaw wrote a book called "The Greatest Generation". Herman was of that generation and that says a lot about him. He was a gentleman and sincerely kind and thoughtful. He will be in my mind and heart forever as a dear friend. His life just commanded respect from those of us lucky enough to have known him.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you all during this difficult time. I have so many good memories with John,Herman and Betty Jo. Herman influenced people that got me my job with Cities Service of which I just celebrated 35 yrs. Still working. I thanked him for this more than once. Was planning to thank him again in person in a few weeks since we are coming back to visit. Good Christian influence in my life. May God bless.
