Clifford R. Hill

Clifford Raymond Hill, of Guymon, beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother, passed peacefully into the presence of God on June 27, 2018 in Guymon.  He was age 93.

Clifford was born November 6, 1924 in Hansford County, Texas.  He was the third of six children born to Lars and Jennie (Jensen) Hill.

Clifford married Ruby Jane Peterson on June 2, 1946 in Guymon who preceded him in death in 2012.  He was also preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Lenard, Arthur, and Orville, sister Emma Gebhardt, and son Donnie Hill.

He is survived by daughter Judy and husband Paul Larch of Colorado Springs, sister Ruth Pierce of Bartlesville, and brother Richard (Linda) of Guymon; three grandchildren, Jerry Don Larch, Darla Solsbee and Kelli Blad, as well as five great grandsons, Brandon and Connor Solsbee, Jensen, Kelton and Camdon Blad; his daughter-in-law Carol Hill and her children Dane and Catie Paris; sisters-in-law, Norlene Peterson of Guymon and Leona and husband, Rod Rogers of Georgetown, Texas, and many cousins, nephews and nieces.

Clifford was well known throughout the area and had a large number of friends and acquaintances.  He loved his entire family and was well respected in the community for his kindness.  Clifford was a life long active member of the Oslo Lutheran Church and was a graduate of Gruver, Texas high school.  He was employed for 37 years at the Hansford County Conoco Phillips plant, retiring in 1985. He witnessed both the Dust Bowl and Great Depression as he grew up.   Clifford enjoyed conversation with everyone he met.  He lived life, in his easy-going manner, to the fullest for nearly 94 years.  He enjoyed traveling and Colorado was his favorite destination

The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday evening, 6:00-8:00 PM at the Henson-Novak Funeral Home, 501 NW Fifth Street, Guymon.

Funeral Services will be Saturday morning, June 30th, 10:00 AM at Oslo Lutheran Church with Pastor Arlen Lloyd, officiating.  Interment will follow in Oslo Cemetery.
