Brayden Joe-Murrell Davis

Brayden’s journey began prematurely on October 12th, 1999 in Boise City, Oklahoma.  Brayden was a bright eyed, kind soul who loved his family, friends and animals.  He had a quiet, gentle way that endeared him to all he met.  He left us prematurely on July 7th at the heartbreaking age of 18.  He had been living in Sterling City, Texas.

He is survived by his loving blended family, his mother, Crissy and husband, Thad Earls of Elkhart, Kansas; father, Max Davis and wife, Christie of Gruver, Texas, his sister, Alexandria Davis of Elkhart; brothers, Jimmie and Jacob Davis, Cody and Shane Waldrop, all of Gruver and Andy Earls of Elkhart.  Brayden was the much adored grandson of Kim and Dee Chapman of Guymon; Mindy and Jim Davis of Gruver; great–grandparents, Norma Alexander of Guymon; Penny Davis of Amarillo, Texas; Buddy Murrell of Gruver; Don and Nancy Earls of Tyler, Texas and Betty Walkovak of Spring Branch, Texas.  He is also survived by uncles and aunts, B.J.  and Julie Thomason, Lynna Hathaway, Amelia and Josh McPherson, Ira Earls, Kasey and Jeff Schrimpf, Jen and John Sharp, Lisa and Chad Tarver, and cousins, Adam Johnson, Jr., Ryder and Have McPherson, Brad Earls, Bennett, Hadley and Hunter Schrimpf, Kyle, Katie Sharp, and Travis Tarver.

Brayden was preceded in death by grandparents, Stephen Joe Thomason and Becky Allison;  great grandparents, Ben David Alexander, Verley and Connie Thomason, Jimmie Lee Davis, Frances Murrell and Phillip Walkovak.

Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon, July 11th, 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church, 506 Broadway, Gruver, with Rev. Steve Chappell, pastor, officiating.  Interment will follow in Texhoma Cemetery, Texhoma, Texas.  Services are entrusted to Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon, Oklahoma.

Visitation will be at Henson-Novak Funeral Home, 501 N Fifth, Guymon on Tuesday, 3:00-8:00 PM.

Memorials may be given in memory of Brayden to the Eddie Eagle Youth NRA Gun Safety Program or to any local animal shelter.  Memorials may be mailed to Henson-Novak Funeral Directors, P.O. Box 1306, Guymon, OK  73942.
