Arturo Varela

Guymon, Oklahoma – Arturo Varela, 28, died Tuesday, May 8, 2018.

The son of Stacey Shirley and Elizandro Saul Varela, Arturo was born February 13, 1989 in Guymon.  He graduated from Ellinwood, Kansas High School in 2008.  Arturo moved from Great Bend, Kansas to Guymon in 2008.  He had worked for Seaboard Processing Plant here in Guymon.  Arturo enjoyed time spent with friends and family, liked to shoot guns and play video games.

Survivors include his mother, Stacey Shirley and biological, father, Elizandro Varela; a daughter, Ivy Quinzel Varela; one sister, Anisha Renee Ortiz and husband, Andre; four brothers, Emilio Oman Robledo of Guymon;  Saul Varela, Edy Varela and Alejandro Varela, all of Salt Lake City, Utah and his grandmother, Elena Torres.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, a sister, Sylvia Robleto and step-father, Lorenzo Robleto.

Memorial services will be Tuesday afternoon, May 22nd, 2:00 PM at the Church of the Nazarene, 2214 N Sunset, Guymon, with Angela Walker, associate pastor, officiating.
