Allene Leach

Allene Leach, 80, longtime Texhoma resident, passed away Wednesday morning, May 16, 2018 at her home.

The daughter of Opal (Leslie) and Herbert Alfred Reid, Allene Louise was born April 1, 1938 in LaCrosse, Kansas.  Allene graduated from Bartlesville, Oklahoma High School.  She was united in marriage to Donald R. Leach on June 16, 1956 in Bartlesville.  The couple moved to Texhoma shortly after, where they made their home and raised their family.  Allene was a true homemaker.  She loved and enjoyed her family, reading, yard work, embroidery and crocheting.  She was a member of First Christian Church. 

She is survived by her husband of more than 61 years, Don Leach; daughter, Sheri Leach of Texhoma; son, Leslie Leach and wife, Terri of Miami, Texas; her brother, Leslie Reid; four grandchildren, Sean Abbott, Caitlyn Leach, Kensley Leach and Kylan Leach. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, who died when Allene was very young; her foster parents that raised her; a brother, two nieces and one nephew. 

Graveside funeral services will be Friday afternoon, May 18th, 2:00 PM at Texhoma Cemetery with Bro. Matt Maples, First Christian Church, officiating.  Services are entrusted to Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Texhoma and Guymon.
