Tara Peppers

Tara Lee Peppers, a former resident of Guymon, Oklahoma, passed away in Houston, Texas, after a brief illness. She was a graduate of Guymon High (Class of 1964) and Panhandle State University.  With a Master’s Degree in Library Science from the University of Oklahoma, she took pleasure in writing poetry.

The daughter of long-time Guymon residents, G.L. and Mary Lou Peppers, (both deceased), Tara is survived by her sisters, Deborah Peppers, Joyce Field, Mima Hale and Angie Hoover, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Tara had been a resident of Houston, Texas, for almost two decades.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Guymon.   

A private family service will be held at Elmhurst Cemetery on Saturday morning.   Family and friends are invited to a memorial reception at noon Saturday at Vallarta's Mexican Restaurant.  

The family is asking that remembrance donations be to the Wounded Warrior Project or the First Presbyterian Church of Guymon.   Arrangements are entrusted to Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon.  www.hensonnovak.com
